Druids are inherently linked to the animals of Astaria, able to not only tame them as lifelong companions, but able to convince aggressive creatures to cease a current attack.

While druids can only soothe animals with guaranteed proficience, a druid may attempt to soothe some players, if they hail from the more bestial of Astaria's playable races.

These include: catfolk, lacertain, lamia, salandrine.

A druid whose spirit is merged with that of a bear may cast this lore for 160 EP if he or she is shapechanged and all SP is exhausted.

Generally soothe cannot fail on any animal, however there have been reported a small number of members of the animal race which do not have sufficient animalistic tendencies for the druid to even attempt to soothe them.

Soothe takes 3 rounds to cast.
