The present incarnation of Astaria, "A3" was released shortly after the House of Cool (Nix, Yizashi, and Panic, among others) acquired a server from which to run the game and an ISP to host it. Within months it was decided that the bug-ridden continent of Sable needed replacement, and thus the "A3" incarnation was created, with a new continent of Altheon to replace the old continent of Sable.
The estate system, previously in a beta-testing phase at the end of A2 was released with the new content. A3 likewise saw the replacement of the old player housing and clan abode systems. The Druids' Guild was also playtested and released during this incarnation.
