As such, bugs periodically occur. Some will benefit you. Some will harm you. Many will make the wizards' wish they'd slept in that morning. However beneficial or harmful, bugs should be reported when they happen. If you think something is a bug, report it. Bugs are reported through the bug command. Typing "bug" produces a list of report categories. File your report under the category that best describes what happened to you. Be detailed in your report. Logs of the event are helpful, but avoid pasting in pages of information, as very long bug reports are cumbersome and difficult to wade through. If you have a bug that necessitates a very long report, you're better off mailing it to admin@astaria.org. Often, players decide that instead of reporting a beneficial bug, they will abuse it a while to advance themselves. This is simply not allowed on Astaria. Failing to report a bug and then abusing it to your benefit warrants severe punishment. Even after you report a beneficial bug, continuing to reap benefits from it is likewise against the rules and will get you punished. ------------- REIMBURSEMENT ------------- Try not to panic if you're hit by a harmful bug. If you're hit by one, you will be restored to your healthy, pre-infested state. You can try to catch a wizard on-line to seek restoration, but your best bet is to file a reimbursement request. Requests are filed using the bug command and selecting the appropriate category. Please be patient when filing a request. We receive a high volume of reports, and it's often some time before we can resolve yours. Also, we may decide that your reimbursement request wasn't the result of a bug at all. In this case you won't be reimbursed. Be patient in this regard. Astaria comprises thousands of lines of source code, and often things transpire outside player perception. The final call is left to the wizards, and if a request isn't resolved to your favor, we ask that you not press the issue further. Player losses resulting from crashes or lag will not be reimbursed.
