Guild Level: 19 SP Cost: 100 spell points 0r 400 endurance points in bear form Skill: Rebirth Syntax: rebirth [target] Perhaps the ultimate expression of a druid's mastery over the primal forces of life and nature, the ritual of rebirth can instantly return a single creature to a literally perfect condition. All physical and mental ailments, such as poison, disease, insanity, and blindness, are instantly cured. The creature's health and even endurance are both increased to the maximum possible. This spell is highly taxing, however, and even the most skilled of druids can cast it but once every ten minutes. A druid whose spirit is merged with that of a bear may cast this lore for 400 EP if he or she is shapechanged and all SP is exhausted.
Commentary
Rebirth is an excellent lore because it completely restores health and endurance and removes any negative status ailments like poison, disease, etc. At high level when players have 450-600 health points (depending on their race) rebirth is one of the most efficient healing spells in the realm; second only to the Cleric Restore Skill.
If an adventurer is afflicted by disease or poison they may drink poison or disease cures (which may be purchased) or ask a cleric to use neutralize or cure them however, with the exception of rebirth, there exists no method to remove negative status ailments other than waiting for a period of time for them to wear off.
