| Using stealth and surprise, a skilled thief can sneak up behind a |
| monster and panic it into leaving the room. You may attempt to |
| specify the direction in which it goes; if you don't specify one, |
| the monster will move in a random direction. There is a chance of |
| failure, and not all monsters can be panicked this way. |
